{ i’m hooked… }

Hello All, It’s been way too long and I’ve missed you all so much. Last year and the beginning of this year was a bit of a roller coaster ride for our family and “Knock on Wood” I feel like it’s over. We got a bit of a bomb dropped on us last summer in that my husband found out he was going to be laid off. He was given six months to find a new job and by the luck of our skin that is exactly how long it took. A huge weight has been lifted off our shoulders and we’ve all breathed a huge sigh of relief. During that time I went back to work. By this I mean I worked from 8pm – 2am. Mom by day and graphic designer by night! Oh and did I mention my daughter decided to stop napping. I was burning the candle at both ends and lost the energy and drive to blog. It was such a tough decision. I love blogging and all of you. I’ve created relationships and gained a wealth of knowledge from all you fellow bloggers.

During the roller coaster ride I needed something to keep my mind busy doing something other than think about the “what if’s” so I started crocheting. I LOVE IT!! It’s such a great way to pass the time. I bring my hook and yarn everywhere I go! Above are some pics of some pillow covers I created for my daughter Katelyn’s room.

I found both of these patterns from fellow bloggers (thanks to both of you :)

Well, I hope you all have a beautiful weekend and can’t wait to get back in the saddle!

{ some photographic inspiration… }

Hello all. I hope your week is a sparkly and inspiring as this photo!

{happy friday to all of you!}

Ahh, it feels so nice to have a quiet house (everyone is tucked into bed) and a little time to myself. I was away this past week on the East coast visiting family and friends. We had such a wonderful time. During the days we took little trips to zoos and other adventures and at night we had fabulous family dinners where we caught up with all we hadn’t seen in a while. We even made it into New York City and oh boy was that a blast! We heading over to the Natural History Museum and then over to the Empire State Building. I loved the hustle and bustle, the tree at Rockefeller and seeing my kiddos awe inspired by it all.

Right before I left I received final approval for a blog re-design from another client I have been working with. I truly enjoyed working with this client and I’m so excited to show you the new site. I hope to have it completed within the next week.

How are you all doing? I hope you all are enjoying your Holiday Season and are able to carve out a little time for yourselves. Here’s how I spent a little break this afternoon… um yes I was on Polyvore AGAIN… 2 things, I really, really want to win that anthro contest AND yep, it’s true I’m addicted to the dang thing! I think I may have to block this address from my computer! LOL, Hugs, Elizabeth
