What a fabulous vacation. We had such a wonderful time. The beaches (Honeymoon & Caladesi in Florida) were beautiful with powder white sand riddled with shells. The water was clam so the kids could play without the worry of big waves coming their way and it was beautiful shades of blues and greens. My sister and her family met us down there too. I felt so lucky and bless to be able to spend time with them. The kiddo’s were in heaven! I can’t wait till our next trip. How was your weekend? Are you gearing up for Easter?! I did manage to get in a craft project or two while we where away and I will share the fun little project in my next post.

So we are heading on our first true family vacation tomorrow. I’m so excited, I can’t wait to hop on that plane. I will be out till April 7th. I just love mint green. It brings back so many fond memories of high school. I was head over heals in love with that color. I had a mint green tube skirt that I wore endlessly with white flats & knit shirt. I’m sure I sported some sort of mint green bow in my fluffy hair! Oh and one of my friends had a beautiful mint green convertible that we would take for spins about town as soon as the ice thawed. How about you… have any minty memories to share

I’m super excited to dye easter eggs with the kids this year and I can’t wait to try this process found over at “The Kitchen“. Sara Kate does such a great job of explaining the how-to’s using purple cabbage, red & yellow onions, turmeric, tea, beets and oil to dye her eggs. They turned out beautiful!

I just love the idea of saving your wedding day flowers. Typically, you would have them professional dried or dry them yourself. Either way, they just aren’t the same as the original ones. Good morning all! I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend. Ours was so much fun. My daughter Katelyn turned three, so it was a Birthday Party bonanza weekend! We’ve all seen the images and videos rolling in of the devastation from the Japan earthquake and tsunamis. While aftershocks and tsunami scares are still happening days later, the nation is in for a long long road of recovery. So far, the death toll is at 5,692 . In just one town, 9,522 are missing. Not only do the survivors have to suffer the loss of loved ones, but as temperatures fall, electricity, water and food are now scarce to none. Many have tried to go back to their homes and to start picking up the pieces, only to find the tsunamis have plowed their homes down and there is literally nothing for them to come home to. The second crisis has only begun and so many are left helpless.






I feel the need to raise awareness and respect and acknowledge the devastation going on in Japan. I’ve donated money to this cause and joined in the “Blogger’s Day of Silence ~ March 18th, 2011“.

What originally caught my eye was the composition of the first photograph. Beautiful cashmere throw pillows on an amazing vintage sofa. Then I found out these gorgeous throw pilllows were for sale!
