{just a sneak peak…}

Good morning all! How was your weekend? Unfortunately mine was a little hectic as my little one, Katelyn had an ear infection. Thankfully now that the antibiotics have kicked in she’s doing much better. Ahhh, nothing like a peaceful night sleep. With my time spent playing nurse I fell behind in my DIY project I had in store for all of you this week. So I leave with you with a sneak peak.

{what a beautiful tablescape…}

I hope you all have a fabulous weekend and I leave you all with this photograph that I absolutely love. The colors are amazing with the soft turquoises and tans. And the way the light glistens on the water and china… it’s just beautiful.

{custom sandals for an amazing cause…}

sseko custom sandals
I’m so excited to share today’s post with you, since it combines two of my favorite things: cute shoes… and a girl with an amazing vision to improve the lives of others! Sseko Designs {“say-co”} partners with an all-girl’s school in Kampala, Uganda and employs recent high school graduates to make these sandals as a way to earn money to continue on to University. Founder Liz Forkin is passionate about empowering women in developing countries, and she’s created such an artistic way to contribute.

Oh and the shoes… let me gush!
I love that they have interchangable straps that allow you to coordinate with any outfit. I love that you can wear them so many ways! Because the straps are changable you can thread them any way you like. Check out Liz’s YouTube page for great demonstrations on different ways to wear your sandals. Did I mention also that Sseko’s are great for your bridesmaids? Sseko offers customised straps to match any wedding colour. Click here to find out more.

Thanks Liz for inspiring me and now I’m off to purchase me a beautiful pair of sandals for an amazing cause!
