I just love the look of this painted flatware from Ladies and Gentlemen that has been floating around the blog world. When I came across this DIY version from Christy of Creatively Christy I fell in love! I think I might have to paint a set of my own!

I have died and gone to heaven!

Hitched, a vintage + rustic + chic event showcasing a fresh spin on wedding planning. The event was put together by Bash, Please and Urbanic Paper. The talented duo from 100 Layer Cake was there and have super creative DIY projects on their blog from the event. Confetti System bedazzled the crowd with their confetti gone art. The “goodie sack” looked amazing with everything from vintage stamps to a letterpress 2011 calendar.

The next Hitched event is January 30th, 2011 at the Ace Hotel in Palm Springs and I really want to go! The ideas from the past event looked amazing. I can’t image how they are going to “top it” but I would love to find out! What a perfect excuse for a girls weekend away… so who’s in?!

Okay, it’s officially time to start rolling up our sleeves and get ready for the Holiday Season! I truly feel like Holiday Season starts in October with each month full of parties and events to celebrate. I thought I would start it off with this beautifully styled tablescape and DIY pinecone chandelier from Katie Grace via City Cradle Design. I absolutely love her tablescape with the fabric wrapped hay bails and the cupcakes garnished with faux leaves. It’s all very nicely put together. The DIY pinecone chandelier is super easy to follow and it could be repurposed for the winter Holiday’s and other festive events. With that said, I need to head into the garage and pull down all my decor!

Hello All! Whew, I feel like a load has been lifted off my shoulders. There’s nothing better then hitting the “Send” button on your computer once you’ve completed a very large task! I’m also a web designer and have sent off a proposal for work… let’s cross our fingers

Okay, now let’s go shopping! Let’s see, hmm, where should we go today?! Grab an extra suitcase because this shop is to die for darling! Rice. They are located all throughout Europe and I think the thing I love most about this shop is everything is in such yummy colors.

Suzi Waters of Alannah Rose a stationery boutique has done an amazing job of putting together her daughter’s 5th birthday party. I can’t get over the beautiful bird cake and all the amazing decorations.

I love the idea of challenging our selves to think outside the box. LoucheLab’s, Aya Rosen’s does just that. Her artwork on ceramics is stunning. The illustrations are amazing, so delicate and detailed. I love how she very subtly infuses color into the pieces. On Etsy’s, Storque How-Tuesday, she has been kind enough to share with us her technique of how she paints on ceramics as well as give us a wealth of tips and tricks. Thank you Aya, I’ve been inspired to pick up my porcelain paint today!

Celina Mancurti is an Argentinean textile designer living in the U.S. Her handmade organic fabrics are absolutely stunning. The designs on the fabric have been created by use of hand-screen printing with water-based inks. For finishing touches she sews on found buttons and additional free flowing shapes.
In her Etsy shopfront she has tabletop items already completed or you have the ability to purchase her fabric to create your own.
