{Reupholster Chair from All the Luck in the World}

What an amazing transformation! Jane of All the Luck in the World has re-covered a very sterile office chair with packing blankets which are usually used to wrap goods during transportation. Once the chair is wrapped, she then embellishes it with embroidery and other found objects. It’s so surprising how much more welcoming this chair is than the original. I could totally see using this chair in a guest room, family room or living room. What do you think?

Yep, that’s right my other kiddo is sicko! I had a friend and her son over for dinner last night and my son comes lethargically walking in from playing outside saying that he and “the boys” (these are his imaginary friends) need to take a break and relax on the couch. Both Chrissy and I look at each other in the state of shock because my son is usually bounding about this house as a force to be reckoned with. Needless to say within the hour he spikes a fever and projectile vomits all over the family room. My poor little “Big Guy” is sick. I’m really hoping that my friend and her son don’t get this flu bug. I will be keep ing my fingers crossed.

On that note, I’m going to keep this short and sweet but wanted to share this great DIY tutorial on how to make over a dresser from Craigslist.

Good morning all! I hope everyone had a super fun L O N G weekend. Mine was chalk full of fun times and the SUN. Yep that’s right, the sun. For any of you that are familiar with San Diego, May and June are defiantly not the ideal times to come here because the we are socked in the a thick layer of fog. But this Memorial Weekend we where blessed with the sun and beautiful cool breeze.

A good friend of mine Lone over at LoneMor (she’s from Norway so Lone translates to “Luna” and Mor means mother in norwegian= LunaMother, I just love that!) has a great DIY Drab to Fab tutorial she’s done. Good morning all! The sun is creeping over the mountain and it’s a beautiful scene here up in the hills of San Diego. Well I hope you all had a great weekend. Mine was filled with family, fun and some much needed rest.

If you haven’t already noticed, I’m a bit obsessed with vintage pieces given a modern twist. I feel that it’s so inspiring to bring old objects back to life. I would love to be able to find a couple of vintage pieces for my daughters room but I’m having a hard time finding a place that would carry such such a thing. I’ve hit a couple of Goodwill Stores and not only is it slim pick’ins but I just can’t get over the smell! Any tips?

Good Morning All! Wow, this week is a complete blur to me! I hope you guys are having a fabulous Friday. Anything fun planned for the weekend? Unfortunately, here, in not-so-sunny San Diego we are socked in. May Gray is in full force and I’m craving the sun. So I thought I’d brighten my day and hopefully yours with some eye candy from the Gardenhouse. The Gardenhouse is located in West Palm Beach, Florida and they take vintage furnishings and give them a modern twist. Enjoy!
