{ i’m hooked… }

Hello All, It’s been way too long and I’ve missed you all so much. Last year and the beginning of this year was a bit of a roller coaster ride for our family and “Knock on Wood” I feel like it’s over. We got a bit of a bomb dropped on us last summer in that my husband found out he was going to be laid off. He was given six months to find a new job and by the luck of our skin that is exactly how long it took. A huge weight has been lifted off our shoulders and we’ve all breathed a huge sigh of relief. During that time I went back to work. By this I mean I worked from 8pm – 2am. Mom by day and graphic designer by night! Oh and did I mention my daughter decided to stop napping. I was burning the candle at both ends and lost the energy and drive to blog. It was such a tough decision. I love blogging and all of you. I’ve created relationships and gained a wealth of knowledge from all you fellow bloggers.

During the roller coaster ride I needed something to keep my mind busy doing something other than think about the “what if’s” so I started crocheting. I LOVE IT!! It’s such a great way to pass the time. I bring my hook and yarn everywhere I go! Above are some pics of some pillow covers I created for my daughter Katelyn’s room.

I found both of these patterns from fellow bloggers (thanks to both of you :)
Granny Flower: Rose Hip
Granny Square: Attic24

Well, I hope you all have a beautiful weekend and can’t wait to get back in the saddle!
❤ Elizabeth

    I am happy you are back and that grey skies turned a little bluer. I get so much email from bloggers because of my writing and sometimes do not miss someone’s postings until I saw you today. I thought, wow I have not seen To Be Charmed in awhile. So I came over to see what you posted. The pillows are delightful and Crocheting is fun and something to do with your hands that take your mind off your problems. Good luck to you and yours!

    Glad you’re back! We’ve been in the same position (minus the 6 months to find a new job ;) … and I understand how so incredibly stressful and scary that is. I’m happy that he’s back working!

    First of all, I have missed your blog so much! I am so incredibly happy you’re back!

    Secondly, the pillows turned out so beautiful. I was so excited when I got to see them in their initial phase and seeing them now in pillows is so great. I got motivated and pulled out my hook and yarn and got back to my daughter Ana’s big girl blanket which I want to have done by the time she gets her big bed……I better get moving quickly!!!

    Anyways, glad to soo you back! Can’t wait to see what comes day to day!!! Hugs V
